DoFollow Diver is another search engine for those seeking "dofollow" websites. As the title suggests, I dived in to test it out and here are the results presented in the same format as the review of DoFollow Search – scores are out of ten for each keyword and analysis of the top five results. One point is given if the result is "dofollow" and another point if it is the right category. I'll use the same keywords as before: press release, rss directory, link building and history websites.
I notice that DoFollow Diver is powered by Google. I haven't played around with their web developer tools much but I presume it is a case of using one of their API keys and building your own search. In this case users are invited to submit their own "dofollow" blog and to declare whether they are using either the CommentLuv or TopCommenter blog plugins.
At the time or writing over 700 blogs have been included in the search index.
First keyword: Press release.
The five results are all good: A Modern PR Tool: The Social Media Press Release, The Power of Internet Press Releases, Local SEO Guide, 7 Steps to Creating an Online Press Release and Orb pulls a TiVO by reporting usage statistics in press release.
There are all good solid results relevant to the keyword and all "dofollow". The only possible problem is that a few of them are old articles from 2006 and 2007, so I'm going to knock off a point for that but otherwise DoFollow Diver scores 9 / 10 for these results.
Second up, rss directory.
One result in particular is very strong: RSS Feed Directory List. It's a list of RSS directories and it's "dofollow"!
Enhance your website with RSS/Web directories! over at St Etienne recommends daytimenews.com RSS directory so another two points out of a possible two here.
The last three are all "dofollow" but although they mention directories none are exclusively concerned with RSS.
8 / 10 for the keywords rss directory.
So far so good, with DoFollow Diver pulling out relevant "dofollow" results.
That's input link building into the search engine:
Again, the top five results are all dofollow and largely accurate for this particular niche.
Two of the results are from InLineSEO.com, the parent body of DoFollow Diver, while two more link building specialist sites are presented: Fast Blog Finder and LinkBuildr.
Top marks to go Diver yet again.
Lastly, the history websites wildcard. I'm not expecting much with this keyword and true to prediction the results are a much of a nothing. The best is journalism history over at blog, p.i.
For the first time it throws up blogs that are actually nofollow: Neerav Bhat, Five Technology and Indonesia Matters.
The results speak for themselves: DoFollow Diver is the top dog of "dofollow" search engines.
It will be interesting to see how Diver keeps up with the quality as there seems to be no obvious method of users reporting blogs that have flipped to nofollow.
Try it out and report back on your experience.
