[New Quality Directories List - June 2009]

I'm pretty busy at the moment on other projects so I'm not sure when I'll have time to post again.

However, as like last month, here are my recommendations for decent new directories that have been posted up on Digital Point.

[The best free tool for analysing backlinks – Majestic SEO]

Majestic SEO

Widely used and known about in professional SEO circles, Majestic SEO is perhaps not such a familiar tool amongst happy SEO amateurs.

But if you really want to get under the bonnet of your own backlinks then Majestic is the service you should sign up for.

[Two alternatives to Alexa data - Quantcast and Compete]

Alexa Alexa website data is, as we all know, golden poo for web data statistic hunters.

In the words of Rand Fishkin from SEOmoz: "Alexa data is slightly better than random guessing".

Alexa is part of the giant online retailer Amazon and their web data is collated through their toolbar.

[New Quality Directories List - May 2009]

Digital Point

Previously I wrote about the poor state of directories swooshing around Digital Point.

Perhaps accusing them of gratuitously linking out to spam neighbourhoods would be a better description.

[New directory for "dofollow" blogs launched]

Christian Hollingsworth, a.k.a Smart Boy, has launched a new directory for "dofollow" blogs, YouDoFollow.com.

[Complete List of Blog Directories - Part One]

There are a number of directories in existence that cater exclusively for blogs. The list below details 20 of these directories.

All the sites included in this list, bar one, have high editorial standards - just because they don't have public submission guidelines doesn't mean they accept anything.

If you have a MFA (Made for Adsense) blog or a new blog with just one or two posts then you are wasting your time submitting to them.
